The Problem You Already Feel

Businesses know they need content. They just can't find people who can deliver it strategically.

Businesses Are Desperate

86% of consumers suffer from banner blindness. 1 in 3 Gen Z skip Google entirely and search on TikTok. Every business needs content — but strategic talent barely exists.

The Talent Gap Is Massive

There are thousands of video editors — but almost no one who can plan what to create, why, and how it drives business results. That's the gap you'll fill.

Editors Are Cheap. Strategists Are Not.

A freelance editor earns £150–250/day. A content strategist earns £520/day. The difference? Strategy, client management, and business impact.

You Don't Need to Start From Zero

Your industry experience — finance, healthcare, fitness, retail, education — is your competitive edge. You just need to add the content skills on top.

Built by Practitioners, Not Theorists

At Wesconnex, we don't just teach content strategy — we do it. Every single day.

What Makes This Programme Different

This isn't a pre-recorded course. It's closer to a company internship.

100% Live Sessions

Every session is live — not pre-recorded. You show up, we work through material together, you ask questions in real time.

vs. Pre-recorded courses you never finish
📝

Weekly Tasks + Real-Time Feedback

Each week you'll receive practical assignments to complete. Our team reviews your work and gives feedback as you go — not after you've finished. This real-time loop is what accelerates learning dramatically.

vs. "Submit and wait" feedback models
🎥

Your Work Gets Published

Content you create gets published on real accounts. You see real data, real performance metrics, real results — not simulations.

vs. Hypothetical exercises with no real stakes
🤝

8-Person Cohort

We keep it small because our team reviews every piece of work individually. You're not a number in a 500-person course.

vs. Mass online programmes with zero personal attention

6 Skills Every Content Strategist Needs

These are the exact skills we use at Wesconnex every day — and the skills clients pay for.

  • 1

    Platform Understanding & Internet Sense

Learn how TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn actually work — as a strategist, not a casual user. Develop an instinct for what makes content work and why.

Stop scrolling like a consumer. Start thinking like a professional.
  • 2

    Content Strategy & Planning

The intellectual core of the role. Build content calendars, position brands, and structure the three types of content every business needs: reach, trust, and conversion. Learn the 40-30-20-10 content mix.

This is the skill that gets you hired.
  • 3

    Interviewing & Content Extraction

Sit with business owners, ask the right questions, and draw out the stories and expertise that become compelling videos. Career changers are naturally good at this — it's about listening and understanding people.

Your people skills become a professional advantage.
  • 4

    Filming & Editing

From setting up filming environments to the full CapCut editing workflow — cuts, captions, hooks, music, graphics. Most people reach competent level within weeks. The tools today make this far more accessible than you think.

iPhone filming. Free editing tools. Professional results.
  • 5

    Data Analysis

Read performance data to guide content direction. What's working, what's not, which videos drive engagement, which drive leads. This data-driven approach makes you indispensable to clients.

You don't guess. You make informed decisions.
  • 6

    Client Acquisition & Management

How to find clients (LinkedIn, networking, events), price services using our 5-tier framework (£800–£15,000/month), pitch without feeling salesy, and manage relationships long-term.

The skill most programmes skip — and the one that makes this a career.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience?

No. We teach everything from scratch — filming, editing, strategy, client acquisition. The editing tools available today (like CapCut) have made the technical side dramatically more accessible than even two years ago.

Can I do this alongside a full-time job?

Yes. Sessions are in the evenings and require about 6–8 hours per week total. The programme is designed to fit around your normal working hours.

Do I need to be on camera?

No. As a content strategist, you work behind the scenes. Your clients are the ones on camera — you're the strategist who plans, films, edits, and manages their content.

What if I decide it's not for me?

You have 14 days from when the course starts. Attend the sessions, complete assignments, get feedback. If you decide it's not what you're looking for — full refund, no questions asked.

What happens after I graduate?

You'll have a portfolio of real published work, lifetime access to the graduate community, and the opportunity to be prioritised for client introductions through Wesconnex.

Why only 8 spots?

Because our team reviews every piece of work individually and provides real-time feedback. Keeping the cohort small is how we ensure the quality of training and personal attention.

Brandon Snow

Content Coach

I’ve always been curious about how people learn and grow, which is what led me into training and development after completing my BSc (Hons) in Financial Services Management. I love creating spaces where people can share ideas, develop their skills, and discover new ways to work smarter.

Outside of work, you’ll probably find me planning my next trip or on a padel court trying to perfect my backhand. I believe growth doesn’t just happen in classrooms — it happens through every new experience and challenge.
